Butt Fly and the Slander Party

I actually feel like blogging today. I haven’t had alot of time to lately. I posted the other two posts cause they made me laugh so hard. Most of the videos are so such crappy quality that youtube will probably laugh at me for posting them, but I might anyways.Heres the Snowboarding one.

The title is one of the funnier parts of my week. We looked after Elijah and Janaya on Saturday. They are 1.5 and 4 yrs. That was the day Emily learned her first 3 syllable word.”Butt Fly”. So what if she turned it into a two syllable word. it cracked me up. She says it better already. I’m a bit sad that she does. Her second 3 syllable word was “cheerio”. The while playing all day Janaya played with Emily’s little phone and was pretending to talk to her friend Asia. Lucky for Janaya because she got invited to Asia’s “Slander Party”. I looked over at Morgan and said “I’ve been to some of those, they’re awful”. We are still laughing about it and thinking of throwing our own “Slander Party”.

You haven’t lived until you’ve had a Diaper explode in the washing machine. How it got there I’ll never know, but what I do know is that I had to re-wash everything and pick up a “butt load” of the jelly diaper stuff. I’m just glad it wasn’t a poopy. icky icky icky.

I’ve started running with Morgan. I was going to do the podcast for running about 3 months ago, but that never happened. I’ve been waiting to blog about it unlit I actually made it into the second week of running every second day. The podcast has techno music to run too and a guy that tells you when to run and when to walk, so you don’t have to look at your watch. its called from the couch to 5K in 9 weeks. We are on week 2 which means we run for 9 minutes already. In intervals of 1minute and 30 seconds with a walk in between. It sounds easy, but when the guys says lets speed back up for the 5th time, you want to kill him or at least make him wax his legs or something. I’ve been walking everyday too. A couple of times I’ve finished my walk and gone straight into the creek.

We walk and run with Emily in the jogging stroller. She loves the running, but sometimes gets bored with the walking. She sings to herself while we are doing “The Loop” around town. Man we would love to be back at the “8″. Running the lakes would be so much more fun. I want to get one of those behind your bike style baby carts. I think you can get them cheaper at a MEC gear swap. I’m hoping we can pick one up soon because I love to ride my bike.

I’m getting my wedding ring and engagement rings soldered together this week. I talked to my jeweler and they think its a good idea to do. The two rings rubbing together can make them wear down really fast. I’m not sure I’ll like them that way, but here’s hoping. She said she didn’t recommend I get that done if I only wore my wedding band to work or something, but I always wear both. I guess I could see it if I wore rubber gloves all day or something like that. My engagement ring would be to sticky outey for that. I can pick up my rings tomorrow. I feel nakey without them on.

Em is waking up. I think we’ll walk down to the library and check the mail. The Library has cardboard books for Em so I think we’ll pick some new ones up today. Oh and Em got some new Robeez today. They are so cute(brown w/hearts). She changed sizes again. We picked some new ones from the catalogue (white trainers)and they’ll be here next month.

Garage me.

Would that I had a garage for my band. We are still working on the video. There isnt much I can do so I’ve been playing with Jakes computer because It’s amazing. I miss working with Mac. I’ve been playing with Garage Band. Its so fun. So far I pretty much sound like one of theose tacky webpages with the crappy midi song playing in the background. But its my midi! I would really like to get a Mac. I think my podcasts wold…well exist. I dont love audacity. It works, but is definitely limited in its functionality. As DR. Brown would say…”Patient lacks cognitive function”. I relate that directly to programs with crappy issues.

I had a relay meeting tonight. I felt bad because it was for our team and I forgot. My mom phoned and so I was only 10 minuted late. I then felt loads better because aside from my mom no one showed up. Oh well. Theoretically I have a team of 8 right now. We lost acouple from last year, but have 2 newbies. Yay Gramma and Poppa! So my mom and I just had a quick coffee and then back to make sure Emily didnt freak out on Auntie Leesh.

It’s a good thing DQ isnt open right now. I think I could seriously injure for a blizzard. Rox showed me this new one she makes with carmel and kit kat. Its a-maze-za-zing. Leesh got me hooked on Mint Chocolate Iced capps from Timmys and now Im hooped. Im glad Im back at the gym on monday. I need to go! Im actually looking forward to it.

This week is gonna be busy. At least its just full of average stuff and not loads of deadlines like last week. I think it will feel like a walk in the park compared to the schedule of last week. It almost feels anticlimactic. hmm

Tanks Wars

Well We did it. Jump Snow day was a success. It was so fun. We went tubing all afternoon. The day was so gorgeous. Roxy and I made it to the last level on this dumb 80′s tanks arcade game and then got beat by a giant eyeball. It sucked…all of our quarters. Needless to say we have this problem being competitive. And arcade games leave me feeling as pleased as punch.

The evening was awesome too. The youth band played and then we had this guy named Darren Jones come to speak. A couple of Kids Became Christians too. Overall it was an awesome day.

This morning Emily had her first piece of muffin. She was like “Please, I would like to eat the whole thing.” She really liked it. I’m amazed at the number of firsts babies have. I guess in a way they have everything as a first. I mean there are the obvious ones like crawling and walking and solid food and teeth and kindergarten, but there are a bazillion more. Everything from first solid poop to first time eating a magazine cover. Its really neat if you think about it. The world is a babies exploring ground. Everything they see is with wide eyed wonder. It amazes me. I think one of the things that makes me think most is the fact that we don’t remember many of our firsts before we are 5. They are so amazing and yet forgotten.

Playing Strange

Today is going to be a crazy day. We are taking the youth tubing and then at night we have a speaker and the band is going to play. I’m kind of excited, but kind of nervous too. Mostly I’m nervous because Emily has started playing strange. Its really weird. She only does it with certain people. And this week its my sister Roxy who was supposed to babysit her for me. She babysat last night too, but Emily screamed for the whole thing. Not so cool. So Em and Roxy are going to come tubing and we’ll just take turns holding her and stuff. I’m really hoping that works

Nap time. Emily has always been flexible about when her naps were and where she would nap, but in the last couple of weeks its been like “Hey this isn’t my bed!(*insert lots of crying*)”. Its really frustrating. I don’t want to force her too much, but I still have a hard time getting home for her bedtime. I don’t know what to do. I guess we’ll see.

Yesterday Morgan got me this sweet as apple pie program that converts talking into typed words. I always wanted to try it. Although I’m actually headed the other way. As for my Podcasts, it’s taking a bit longer to get them online because we have to switch hosting sites. Ours is almost full, plus they don’t give you much bandwidth either. Once we switch I can get the Podcasts loaded.

7 Was Taken

I used to journal all the time. I even used to blog on deviantart.com, but since I had a baby I stopped. Having a baby makes time disappear like pulling chickens teeth(thank you – Cliche Finder).

It makes it awfully hard to have time to even think let alone jot down your thoughts. So I decided I was ready to start blogging again. Just my thoughts on life, being a mom, music, Quantum Physics, and actually taking time for me to be healthy. I’m taking a big jump into the health pool. Well thats my goal anyways.

Hopefully Ill have my Podcasts up soon too. They are fun. I’m even working on some video ones. Fun stuff of Emily and just plain dumb things I do. I’m watching the seconds go by on my watch as I near 8 minutes. Time is a very strange thing. It comes when it wants and goes when it wants. There is no stopping it.

Well Anyways I hope to capture a glimpse into my thoughts in a couple of minutes during the day. I think it’ll be good for me, plus 8 minutes isn’t all that long. In fact its over right now.
