First Week back at school and we are reevaluating EVERYTHING! Kindergarten needs to be fun, so we are taking ourselves less seriously and playing more. This is one of our favorite Games: Kids of Catan. Gotta start em young!

I have returned from whence I came.
I think memorable is the best way to describe my weekend at avalanche. There were good things and bad things thats for sure. Heres a recap of the funny things. We are driving down the coquahalla when the van starts to sound a bit too much like a Suzuki. We pull over and the van is now toast. Yay for Elisha who saved the day having only caught up to us 10 minutes before coming from Vancouver. So Leesh saves the day! We get there and all is going well. We set up tents and head for the conference. Skip ahead a bit until Saturday night. The day has been pretty good so far and we stay up a bit late for a concert and then head back to camp. I’m wondering…did you ever played with dominoes as a kid? I did, but nothing even compares to coming back to the camp and finding that 2 of the 3 huge tents have played dominoes while you were away. I’ll admit, not everyone thought it was as funny as I did. Ok mostly they did. Skip ahead a bit more to Sunday Morning. At the church service they had this drumming contest. They asked who could drum so my group yelled me and I ran up to the front. I jumped on stage to meet my competition who happens to be a guy I know from Williams lake. Imagine that! Rival towns drumming it up. We played stomp on these barrels full of blue and red paint. It was awesome. My dress is now perma tye dyed. Well I lost, but it was a cheer contest so It could have happened to anyone. But I won a t-shirt. YAY.
We are working on a video for Youth and Church. I’m loving all the stuff we have so far. Its awesome. Ill try to put it up as soon as possible. Anyways. I’m zonked from a long weekend without much sleep so Im gonna go get a coffee and chill out.
Oh yeah and we got given a new hugemongous awesome HD LCD flat screen T.V. YAYAYAY!!! Just in time for the season finale of Heroes. Which rocked by the way.
Sad Sad
Today I told Morgan that I wanted a pair of Khaki Shorts “AE” style, but he heard me say”I want a pair of khaki shorts 80′s style.” It was funny. 80′s should even get to be called a style it should go down in history with things like the black plague and Chernobyl. I think the only 80′s thing that was cool was….um…oh yeah snap bracelets. Thats it. Even early 90′s is still pretty much 80′s. I’m sad to say I had a mullet. It was an awesome one with full bangs. oh yeah. At least I was little and didn’t pick it, but I guess I lose points because I did pick the mushroom cut. I am officially able to say that I have had other hair cuts longer than I had the mushroom cut for. It was stuck to me for most of my childhood and on in to my adolescent years. Sad Sad.
I made it to girls night for a bit tonight. I took Morgan. I know its weird to bring a guy to girls night, but well thats just the way it worked out. We played Rummy. I lost. Like thats some big surprise. Ive lost games ever since my sister could count past 4. At first we called it beginners luck, but Roxy has the Midas touch for games. With the exception of Monopoly. All you have to do is get a little intense about winning and then suddenly no one will play with you anymore. Sad Sad.
Tonight is night 3 of trying to phase out the baby sleeping bag. Theres seemed to be more tears tonight, but she settled down pretty quickly. It will be good if we can just be done with the sleeping bag. I think that we’ve made it 3 days so we are good to go. Emily spent the morning with Gabriel and Lana. We had a staff meeting so Lana was watching her. Poor Gabe is sick again. he has a cold. Sad Sad.
