Gingerbread House

Ok so I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been uninspired and spend all my computer time writing papers and stuff. Then I dumped ginger ale on my keyboard some I’m back to using an old crappy one so I’ve been less than excited about writing lately. I finished my last module for this semester today. I have a few left to do for my correspondence course, but that’s not due for forever. I already did one final for Linguistics and I’m happy with my mark. 21.5 out of 25. My final grade ends up being 91%! woot. happy with that, that’s for sure. Anyways. I’m bored with school, so on to other things. Emily and I made a gingerbread house. I’m not sure what persuades a mom to do things like that with a two year old. Seriously, who in their right mind wants to patiently wait with candies that cant be eaten while icing dries so the house doesn’t fall over. needless to say it was an experience. Here’s a couple of pics for you. My face looks all red, so maybe I looked all red that day, but I’m blaming it on the camera.

Anyways. Im hungry and I have to get back to getting things done today. I seriously cant believe it’s almost Christmas! Ooo Tree hunting this weekend too!

Really on summer vacation

Apparently I need to clarify on 2 things. Firstly. Thank you Leah for completely designing my bag and ipod case(which does not normally go with the bag) Still thanks to Jennie for sewing it. I’m excited because “The baronet’s Song” is on its way here tomorrow! Come see me pretty bag. I think there will be new Bags for Zaza next week if you are dying to have your own.

Secondly. I was wearing my wedding dress to a formal dinner. It said wear your formal clothes including prom dresses and wedding dresses. Roxy wore my Prom dress and I wore my Wedding dress. I just like proving I can still wear it. Or I guess I should say, can wear it again because this bod was not so small post Emily. Or pre-Emily for that matter. It was at a ladies conference in May. Super fun taking pictures in a dress.

Emily has got it into her head that she’s the boss and that she knows everything. On our way to daycare yesterday morning she asked me where Nanny and Grampa were. I said “Sweetie, they live in Richmond.” She said “No. They live in Taco!” I’m not really sure what the correlation is between Richmond and Taco, but for some reason I was wrong about my in-laws geographical location. at least in her eyes I was.

We’ve started a huge reno project in my office at the church. We ripped off all the wall paper, the wood siding, the HUGE bookshelves and the nasty borders. I then proceeded to scrap wall paper booger-glue off all of the walls except where the wood paneling was. Neither Morgan or I had done drywalling before, but we had to learn because there were 3 big holes in the wall behind the wood. So we’ve done drywalling and filled the 6 million little tack and dart holes. As a side note: when playing darts, please use a dart board and not just a wall, Thank you! It’s a fun project. It’s turned into more work than I figured, but I’m excited for the finished project. I’m hoping we will be able to paint tomorrow.

I took part of the day today to finish my final exam paper for school. Now I am really out for the summer! I hope I did ok on my paper, but at this point, I just wanted it done! So here’s to summer vacation! And now I’m going to go pick up Em from daycare.

I miss the little pudgekins. See she really didn’t have a neck or wrists. This is from 2 years ago. Oh and I was referring to Emily not my Grama. haha
