Babywearing

I’ll admit it. I’ve become a baby wearing Mommy. I finally found a sling that is comfortable and I can wear it for a long time. Its a Maya Ring sling. I think its because I’m a bit lazy. I like holding Avery, but she’s so heavy already and that car seat is way too heavy to pack around the mall. Plus I love being hands free.

I never thought I’d be a baby wearing Momma, but I really do love having my tiny tot close and snuggly. Avery really relaxes in the sling too, so I love that she can calm down while we are out.

I’ve been looking at a Moby Wrap on ebay. I went to the fabric store to see if I could make one a bit cheaper than buying one, but It would cost me way more to buy the fabric AND I suck at sewing, so it’s not like it would even be any better. I might buy one for Avery for Christmas. Anyone else have and Babywearing favorite slings?

The Lake

I love to go to the lake for our week away in September. It didn’t end up being a whole week, but I loved it none the less. Normally I like to do things at Loon Lake. Walk around, swim, dive, golf, hike…etc, but this trip I pretty much just read and tried to relax as much as possible. Tip 492 for the girl suffering from Postpartum “relax”. Its helping anyways. I go to see another lady from Mental health next week, so we’ll see if that goes any better than the other lady. This lady at least sounded nice. Anyways. Here’s a pictorial snapshot of the lake. or at least a couple things…

My hubby is awesome at taking night shots. Happy Anniversary babe!

A couple of weeks ago I went to a friends wedding at Lake of the trees. I chose to sit in the shade with Avery, so I couldn’t see the wedding well enough to take much for pictures. What I could see, was my great friend Elisha taking pictures. She was the official photographer. So I started taking her picture. I think its a really neat thing to be able to take pictures at someones wedding. I took some at Kipp and Georgia’s wedding earlier in the summer and I loved it. I was having alot of fun. I don’t think a photographer enjoys being photographed as much as they enjoy taking pictures though. haha.

Growing up, we took a picture just like this of me and my cousins every summer. If the scanner hadn’t packed it in, I’d scan one for you. The next best thing is a picture of Emily and her cousins! We had such a great time while Morgans cousins and their girls were here!

In order of tall to “unable to stand”: Leah, Sarah, Emily, and Avery! Avery’s getting tall hey? all 24 inches of her. She was 11 lbs 13 oz yesterday! WooHoo!
