The community kitchen was really fun today. We used my recipe for enchiladas, but we made our own tortillas instead of the packaged kind. Much more cost effective, especially because beans are expensive. Who knew? We made some burritos too. Normally I don’t eat what we make because it isn’t good for my diet, but today I decided to have a burrito. I cant have been great, but I don’t think it was too bad for me either.
I drug my butt out of bed to go to the gym this morning. When I got there I found out two things.
- I lost exactly 20 lbs since Jan. 1st.
- Morgan let the battery die on my ipod and so no music. grr
Yay the weight thing, but the whole lack of music makes it really hard to exercise. I can push myself way harder when my music is blaring in my ears. Maybe its because I think less….I dont know. All I know is that its a whole lot easier to workout with music.
I started doing these arm exercises with weights to tone my arms better. They make me look funny though.(the exercises not my arms). I’m going to try them for a month and see if it makes any difference.
I’m hoping to try Pilates too. I got a DVD of “Pilates for Dummies” that looks so good I wouldn’t trade it for all the tea in china. I’m having a hard time finding time to do Pilates. Id like to take a class or something, but time is always to short.
I’m really looking forward to home Group tonight. I always feel so encouraged and built up in my faith at home group.
